The light at the end of the tunnel is the spark that lights the future

Just when things seem darkest — when the whole world appears about to be torn apart by World War III, or a methane catastrophe, or some other high tech insanity spawned by human hubris — a glimmer of hope has appeared.

Still little noticed among the babbling rabble, it attracts the bright and the conscientious, and repels shallow bureaucrats and true believers alike, who remain locked in their trivial disputes, their misconstrued dogma, and their posturing for profit.

A glimmer of hope, a new way of seeing things, based on facts, not misperceived phenomena or coercive superstitions.

It should come as no surprise that this last-ditch hope for the confused human species should come not from prophets or politicians, but from humble scientists. Not from banker-driven fake science, but from diligent men who believe in things like empirical observations and peer review, who challenge traditional assumptions and entrenched propaganda, conduct methodical experiments to validate their hunches, and enlarge the human ken with conclusive proof, not subjectively manufactured myths with crass ulterior motives. 

Scientists not coerced by government contracts or political correctness quite possibly have uncovered the formula to a peaceful and healthy future, or at least the path to finding it. 

The gist of this hope resides somewhere in the neighborhood of the idea that accurately understanding our own past will lead us on a healthier course to our future, and a way out of this downward spiral that each day's headlines convince us further and more depressingly that we as a species are irreversibly hurtling toward our doom.
When all the reasons for hope have been twisted into moneymaking scams and the statements of your elected leaders are only the fantasies of some PR person's sadistic compulsions, placing your bet on scientific conclusions that aren't twisted into some false flag nightmare by either influence or convention seems like a sensible way to go. I mean, what other chance do we have to attempt to figure out why we're here? 

There's no fixing this government; it's corrupt from top to bottom. You could keep praying until you are killed, but what good would that do for the kids we hope come after us, the people we love, the people we are supposed to be living for?

A common phrase you hear from many voices today is "everything you know is a lie". Most people don't understand their past, have no idea what's going on in the present, and as a consequence, have no clue about their future.

Yet everyone senses that something has changed. Draconian new laws dominate the headlines. The powers that be are oblivious to those in need. And nobody can get any answers from callous bureaucrats enforcing policies of dubious legality.

Well, believe me, something has changed. You knew it was about to happen, because the world you live in does not make sense, and has never made sense, dependent as it has been on a force no one ever fully comprehended, with reality created by fiat and propaganda that was blasphemy to challenge.

So now the news is coming to you late — not too late, but other people already know it, some for decades, but none much longer than that. 

Like two giant waves in an ocean of time, the persistent disciplines of modern science have collided with enigmatic relics of our most ancient past and brought forth a deeper comprehension of ourselves and our past that promises a greater understanding of our troubled history and our precarious future.

Petroglyphs and plasma physics

Most sophisticated moderns scoff at the idea that 'uncivilized' aboriginals possess a much more complete version of human history, but these 'well-educated' technophiles can't account for the thousands of years before the Roman religion defined political correctness for the millennia to follow other than to say lamely, "God created the world in seven days."

One of the great puzzles of prehistory is how the forthright realism of prehistoric artists in the Paleolithic caves of Lascaux devolved in subsequent eons to fantastic images of dragons and sunflowers that make no sense to us today.

A long line of little known researchers developing a science that would come to be known as plasma physics eventually noticed that the electrical formations produced in its laboratory experiments uncannily resembled the patterns seen in the world's most ancient rock art. 

Astonished by the work of cosmologists, a physicist named Anthony Peratt made the connection that all these petroglyphs painstakingly inscribed on rocks all over the prehistoric world were accurate renditions of what people actually saw in the skies in ancient times — drawings that precisely matched the experimental electrical patterns in his plasma physics labs.

This history-changing epiphany unlocked the hidden past of the human journey on Planet Earth — a titanic story of an unimaginable celestial catastrophe that imprinted itself on the human mind in perpetuity. Throughout the 20th century, the discoveries of several key scientists, and one particularly important author, assembled the pieces of this giant puzzle, and hundreds more scholars today strive with a dignified determination to expand its implications. 

It was my great good fortune to have attended the Electric Universe Tipping Point conference in Albuquerque in January 2013. This gathering of nonestablishment scientists shined a mighty beam on the past that cannot help but illuminate the future path of the human species. If it were to be characterized in one sentence, it would be the words of Australian cosmologist Wallace Thornhill about the changing course of human history.

"The traumatized survivors of these celestial catastrophes triggered the rise of our first civilizations."

Expanded past, clearer future

The single most important catalyzer in this protracted process of discovery was a psychoanalyst-turned-astronomical theoretician named Immanuel Velikovsky, who in 1950 rocked the scientific world with his best-selling "Worlds in Collision." Ridiculed by mainstream science, Velikovsky nevertheless asserted that the world's sky in ancient times was very different than it is today, and that the planets Venus, Mars, and Saturn all played key roles in the development of human civilization, after first nearly destroying all life on Earth.

Enormous lightning bolts passed between these planets and the Earth as our solar system's configuration was changed significantly. Gravel mixed with fire rained down from the sky, destroying many parts of our planet — a fact which modern archeology confirms. Velikovsky gained little ground with his radical theories during his lifetime, except for a small, intrepid following intrigued by his stunning apocalyptic conjectures.

This challenge to mainstream cosmology was taken up by David Talbott, first as a young student, later as the author of "The Saturn Myth" (1980), and in the late '90s, with Thornhill, as the driving force of a scientific movement known as both the Thunderbolts Project and the Electric Universe, an effort consisting of generations of Ph.D.s who have already rewritten humanity's past in a scenario so clear yet so astonishing that that the mainstream science establishment trembles in fear of these ideas, and knows its days as bonafide authority figures are numbered.

Building on the birth of the new science of plasma physics, the Thunderbolts scientists have, among other things, managed to transform perceptions of human history, and in the process, relegated most of the concepts of quantum physics — such as the Big Bang, dark matter and black holes — to the same dustbin of obsolescence occupied by the Flat Earth theory.

The Sun is not a ball of gas fueled by a nuclear furnace; it is a ball of plasma harvesting energy via colossal braided filaments that stretch throughout the universe, and connect everything in it.

The hottest part of the Sun is 1200 miles above its surface. The interior of the Sun is comparatively cool. Nuclear fusion inside the Sun is only a theory that remains unproven. Every scientific observation ever made about the Sun refutes the nuclear theory; yet mainstream science clings to its fabricated story as gospel, even as no laboratory has ever replicated a stable fusion reaction.

Same with all the stars, which traditional scientists view as stifled thermonuclear bombs exploding slowly. The sublime peace of the night sky renders this argument ridiculous.
The sun's surface sizzles at 4400 degrees. At 1200 miles above the surface it jumps to 20,000 degrees, and at a distance of 1 or 2 solar diameters, the temperatures reach 200 million degrees. This clearly refutes the thermonuclear supposition and supports the theory that the sun is being driven externally, like an electric motor.

Most of establishment science continues to refuse to recognize that solar mysteries are linked to magnetic fields. Magnetism requires an electric current. These two basic observations stand ready to render quantum physics obsolete, and consign the way we have all looked at the world and the sky as no longer valid.

Plasma — the fourth state of matter

The many exponents of the electric universe theory declare that the missing element from the explanations of Newton and Einstein about how the universe works is electricity. Its effects are 10 to the 39th power times stronger than gravity. Yet, current consensus science maintains gravity is the force that shapes the stars.

In the late 19th century, they say, science took a wrong turn, relying on elegant mathematical theories instead of experimental evidence. Except for a few ignored pioneers, the electric universe clues were shunned by the established experts.

The Arctic Expeditions of the Norwegian genius Kristian Birkeland in the 1890s led to the discoveries of the Earth's magnetosphere, the solar wind and eventually the colossal epiphany that the polar auroras consisted of charged particles from the Sun guided by Earth's magnetic field, a controversial assertion that was not finally verified until satellites confirmed it in 1968.

As mainstream science ignored his discoveries, Birkeland's successors Irving Langmuir and Hannes Alfvén continue to expand the growing consciousness that the universe was electric.

Today, Birkeland currents are the giant bands of energy that course among the stars and feed the Sun, Langmuir sheaths encase double layers of opposite charge inside electric current, and Alfvén, who once collected a Nobel Prize and said his work was wrong as he did so, urged the scientific world to remember that magnetic fields can only be produced by electric current.

For the past 40 years, mainstream science has ignored the conclusions of Alfvén, Velikovsky and numerous other dedicated pioneers. Mainstream academia concocted all sorts of erroneous quantum fictions, such as the expanding universe, and most prominently, the Big Bang, which simply do not stand up to rigorous empirical scrutiny.

Alfvén's life's work showed that the mathematical elegance of quantum theory was disproved by plasma cosmology, and that electric currents formed invisible cosmic transmission lines, pumping energy throughout the galaxies.
Today, through stunning photos gathered by the Hubble and Chandra X-ray telescopes, these twisted plasma filaments — Birkeland currents — are stunningly visible throughout the universe. Sadly, most mainstream astrophysicists have nothing to say about them.

The Thunderbolts Project

Dave Talbott and Wal Thornhill embraced Velikovsky's work in the 1970s. At Portland State College, Talbott was the coordinator of a magazine called Pensees that published Velikovsky's material and organized numerous symposia about his work. Thornhill, a lifelong cosmologist from Australia, actually met Velikovsky before his death at Princeton in 1979.

The pair didn't really start colluding on the Thunderbolts project until the 1990s, but by then they had a collection of Ph.Ds in various sciences all gathered around them and zeroed in on the same question: Could what Velikovsky had outlined — planets flying this way and that with gigantic lightning bolts flashing among them in Earth's recent history— possibly be true? 

Was Venus really a comet that was intercepted by Mars, causing untold catastrophe on Earth?
And do these epiphanies expand Earth's known history backwards by thousands of years?

After hundreds of papers, articles and conferences, a key addition to this group of eager scientists in the late '90s was Anthony Peratt, the world's foremost plasma physicist, who was surprised when shown photos of the world's most ancient petroglyphs — fantastic drawn patterns painstakingly inscribed on rocks many thousands of years ago — because they exactly matched the configurations of plasma sequences he had observed in his experiments.

At January's Tipping Point conference, amid a gaggle of scientists from many disciplines, there was no talk of politics or dogma, only a true meeting of the minds attempting to expand on an idea, the electric universe and its realization that Earth's true prehistory is just beginning to be uncovered.

In addition to welcoming assessments by Talbott and Thornhill, there were such gripping presentations as "Our Universe — It's Electric" by Michael Claradge, "The Non-Existence of the Black Hole and the Failure of General Relativity" by Stephen Crothers, "A belief crisis in Modern Cosmology" by Tom Wilson, and "Science Set Free" by Rupert Sheldrake, the well-known inventor of the concept of morphogenetic fields.

Interspersed among dozens of other stimulating insights, the most popular presentation seemed to be "Exciting Students with Unsettled Science" by Evan Camp, a junior high school science teacher who emphasizes Electric Universe discoveries in his classes. Camp also brought several of his students with him, as the Thunderbolts Project brought other brilliant students from around the world to partake of this cutting edge information.

Earth was once a moon of Saturn

Along with Homer, Hesiod is the oldest of the Greek poets whose works have managed to survive some 2700 years to our time. Hesiod wrote of "a golden race of mortal men who lived in the time of Kronos (Saturn) when he was reigning in heaven" and who lived in ease and peace. The later Roman poet Ovid repeated the legend: "In the beginning was the Golden Age, when men of their own accord, without threat of punishment, without laws, maintained good faith and did what was right."

Today, Talbott, Thornhill, and many other highly informed scholars have calculated that between seven and ten thousand years ago, Earth was illumined only by the twilight glow of Saturn. For an unknowable period of time, it was phase-locked with and connected to (by a titanic plasma filament) Saturn — with our present Sun nowhere in sight.

Foremost among the many Thunderbolts scholars who have been delving into this body of knowledge for decades, two contributors to Talbott's Aeon magazine have chronicled evidence from the world's ancient civilizations on the certainty of a colossal catastrophe that not only rearranged the lineup of planets in our solar system, but simultaneously ravaged the Earth when other planets passed too close to Earth during this upheaval, and scorched each other with stupendous thunderbolts larger and louder than anyone living today has ever witnessed.

To Dwardu Cardona, in his comprehensive God Star series, the real human prehistory is found in aboriginal legends from all over the world, which recount the catastrophe in metaphorical terms of birds and beasts. And to his longtime colleague Ev Cochrane, the connections he explains are about the comet Venus and its 'beard' ravaging the Earth, and the thunderbolts of Mars saving humanity from disasters. (Talbott's second Thunderbolts introductory video is, in fact, about the huge scars on Mars having been made by these giant bolts.)

In synch with Talbott and Thornhill, both Cardona and Cochrane articulate how since all this happened in the time before writing at a very early stage of human development, the recording of these events was limited to orally transmitted myths, where the mind-boggling events in the sky were of necessity given human personalities (because that's the only way people at the time knew how to describe them). They were passed down through the generations in the tales of Phaeton driving his father's horses too close to the Sun and burning up the world, plus many other puzzling mythological legends that suddenly come into focus with the electric universe perspective.

As the centuries passed and societies rose and fell, the names of these anthropomorphized planetary characters misperceived as gods changed with regularity. But as humanity evolved toward the future, the personalities and heroic deeds they were thought to have accomplished remained the same, so that Zeus, Apollo, Marduk and even Yahweh became the valiant heroes signifying Mars that saved the world from destruction. Hence, through the passing of time, they became its heroes and its objects of worship.

Around six thousand years ago, as civilization coalesced at Sumer around one of the first metaphorical Mars clones — named Nergal, Cochrane emphasizes that the dominant focus of Sumerian religion was Venus, then known as the goddesses Inanna (later Ishtar), who through her fiery countenance as a comet ravaged the Earth and is remembered in history in all sorts of ominous statuary. In the fearful symmetry of humanity's stupefaction regarding these events, Venus also became known as the goddess of reproduction as time healed of the wounds of this celestial apocalypse.

As the centuries passed and sky turned calm, the actual memory of these events were forgotten, but the basic rituals remained, and slowly evolved into the familiar deities we know today.

Presenting a clear case that prehistoric aboriginals have left us with the most valid account of the world's most ancient history, Cardona's work is based on his encyclopedic analysis of ancient legends, which includes the still visible rock art that depicts the cosmic Armageddon that gave birth to our present civilization.

Ancient sky not the same one we see today

At the Albuquerque conference, Bard College professor Bill Mullen revealed the details of the conversation that might turn out to be the most important discovery of the 20th century.

Talbott sent Peratt photos of ancient petroglyphs that he called a Chain of Arrows. Peratt possessed photos of his plasma instabilities he called a Christmas Tree. Put side by side, they were mirror images, and confirmed the momentous discovery that prehistoric drawings on ancient rocks exactly mirrored the electric plasma formations Peratt had produced in his labs.

As Mullen compared Peratt to Galileo — in that both discovered a profoundly new way of looking at the universe — he stressed that "our solar system was once configured very differently than it is today. The ancient sky was not the same as we see today."

Among dozens of experts in their fields at the conference, Michael Clarage outlined the electrical connection between individuals and Sun, and explained that plants and animals are transformers of electricity from the Sun. Stephen Crothers demolished "Einstein's mathematical gobbledygook", and Tom Wilson cautioned that "beliefs get in the way and impose a filter on what we see". All these presentations and some 50 others are available on YouTubes through the links to the Thunderbolts website at the bottom of this story.

Several experts talked about the concept from creation mythology of a polar axis connecting Saturn — once the only star in the world's sky — with the Earth. It is an observation that today has been pretty much forgotten except by the aboriginal legends and the Biblical story of Jacob's Ladder — and today by all sorts of plasma physicists as well as by hundreds of cosmologists who subscribe to the conclusions so thoroughly constructed by Talbott, Thornhill and the Thunderbolts researchers.

The force that connects us all

All the prophets in history and all the religions of the world have always stressed the interconnectedness of everything that lives, yet uncountable lives have been lost and unthinkable treasures destroyed by subjective differences in the manner by which this message has been delivered.
Before I'd ever heard of the Thunderbolts project or even read anything about Sun worshippers, I'd realized that all life on our planet was animated by the Sun. So I was greatly cheered to learn that my own inchoate instincts had been confirmed well before I was born.

The Hubble Telescope has peered into space to a distance of 60 million light years, revealing more galaxies than the biggest supercomputer could ever hope to count. The discoveries of the Thunderbolts Project now confirm that we are connected to every single one of them, as well as to everything that lives on this small planet in an unobtrusive solar system in a minor galaxy cared for by a yellow dwarf star.

Long before the Bible was written

Questions humanity really needs to answer:

Why were these celestial events interpreted as gods? How did they come to be personified? What is the process of anthropomorphism.? 

All these earthshaking cosmic events occurred before the invention of writing. Ancient peoples knew no other way to interpret things except by stories about people that were conveyed orally down through the illiterate centuries. 

People personified everything, made the sea a god named Poseidon, gave personalities to springs and mountains and above all, thunderstorms, whence came Zeus and all the ancient deities personifying this awesome celestial force that had defended the Earth against the fearsome cosmic dragon and saved everyone's lives.

In ancient Babylon the hero credited with ending the great catastrophe became Ninurta or Atrahasis or Marduk; in Egypt Horus defeated Set; in Greece, Zeus overcame the Titans and later the sky-eating Typhon, using his cosmic thunderbolts (a variation is Apollo slaying the Python monster, as painted by Delacroix on the ceiling of the Louvre). Humanity had triumphed, survived the mother of all disasters, and a hero, in certain times and places called Heracles (aka Hercules), was given credit for it. All these gods were foggy memories of the same force, the planet Mars.

Much, much later, this mythological hero who defeated the cosmic dragon was named Yahweh, and ever since the tragic history of humanity is written in the spilled blood of people fighting over the proper name to give to the great hero of antiquity who "saved" the world from annihilation.

Freedom from dogmatic delusions

The main objectives of the Thunderbolts project, as expressed by Talbott and Thornhill in their monographs:

• Nothing is more important to the future and credibility of science than liberation from the gravity-driven universe of prior theory.
• The links between plasma science and the things humans once saw in the sky, and the similarity of ancient rock art to plasma discharge formations are visible in etchings throughout the world, and in any science lab.
• Recurring petroglyph patterns were reproductions by prehistoric artists of plasma formations in space that devastated the Earth around 10,000 years ago.
• Rock art from 7000 BC to 3000 BC directly in line with the formative phase of the first civilizations raises profound questions about our earliest cultures.
• The accord between ancient images and plasma configurations is too detailed and too specific to be accidental.
• All the stories of heroes from ancient history — from Gilgamesh to Heracles — are but variations of the original theme forgotten by time. Apollo slaying the Python, Marduk dispatching Tiamat, even Achilles killing the serpent of the Trojan fountain, all derive from the memory lost in time of how humanity survived the catastrophic rain of fire and gravel from the skies.
• All the models of human behavior stem from the beginning of time. Every act of worship is an attempt to discover where we came from, and how we originated.

The main points

The hundreds of scientists and other researchers who comprise the assembly of Thunderbolts devotees appear to be in synch on three basic tenets, as eloquently expressed by Talbott, Thornhill, and hundreds of other scholars in their lifelong work.

1. Earth was once a moon of Saturn. Cardona explains in God Star, the first book of his continuing series of encyclopedic probes into Earth's prehistory, that our planet was once encased in a plasma sheath that kept the world in perpetual twilight and allowed no other stars to be seen. He speculates that our present Sun was once just a small star in the distance that gradually came closer and caused the turmoil that devastated the planet, set the planets careening like billiard balls, and rearranged the configuration of our solar system.

2. The gods were the planets. In analyzing humanity's ancient myths, Talbott, Cochrane and others conclusively show that all the ancient cultures — particularly the aboriginal cultures — record tales of a stupendous sky show, and the destruction of a large portion of the Earth's surface. Venus was originally a comet that strafed the Earth, and Mars somehow interposed itself in this apocalyptic scenario, which earned it the everlasting nickname as the War Planet in a hail of cosmic thunderbolts much larger than anything we can imagine today. 
Because these events happened before the invention of writing by humans, accounts of them were told only oral myths passed down through millennia and anthropomorphized into tales of gods and heroes who saved Earth, so that now the whole world looks to these mythologized deities to save them from the inevitability of death.

3. A new world is dependent on seeing a new universe through new eyes. Not only do the worn speculative paradigms of Newton and Einstein need to be transcended in the light of the discoveries of plasma physics and the realization of the primacy of electricity in shaping the universe, the purpose of all religious disciplines, which all focus on transcending death, needs to be reconsidered. This illusion of placing our faith in the hands of an incomprehensible, all-powerful deity needs to be analyzed from the point of view that the original model for the very notion of God remains based on the actions of three planets — Saturn, Venus and Mars — very long ago, in fact, in the time before humans were able to write.

The meaning of electricity

There is no dark matter. There is plasma, connecting all the trillions of stars in the universe to each other and everything in it, fueling the Sun, which fuels the Earth through the auroras, which gives life to the planets, and every living thing on them, including us.
What it means for religion is that with this history, magic can finally be eliminated from the divine equation. The ascendance of plasma physics as a way to explain Earth's most ancient mysteries leaves no room for fantastic personalities to declare their omnipotence and be wielded by priests to control others. Analysis of the properties, connections and implications of everything that lives being connected electrically could finally unite warring humanity, misguided by parochial interests, into a broader understanding of the solidarity all men share with each other and all living things.
This is the future, when integrity and demonstrable empiricism finally overtake the magical cults of mystical deception. 

Electricity links all life

We are surely on the cusp of new era of the human saga, one in which artificial beings — essentially electrically enhanced human beings or their clones — seem poised to perform achievements beyond the abilities of mortal men, notably traveling into radioactive outer space and achieving perhaps infinitely longer life spans.

Without getting too nostalgic about past human history, which is riddled with bloodshed, greed and treachery, one wonders what place morality — doing the right thing in a loving way — will occupy in a future dependent on robots, and perhaps even exclusively populated by robots. Will the natural rules of electricity, which cannot be fudged like the subjective rules of temporal morality, eliminate what we consider the finer laws of humankind, such as love and compassion?

Or will the uncompromising rules of scientific proof lead to a world unpolluted by secret mystical forces and create a forthright, sincerely peer-reviewed realism to replace the hidden forces that have warped human endeavor across time. 

Although I cannot say for sure, no aspect of the Thunderbolts projects I know of has addressed the philosophical ramifications of universal electrical connectivity. The message that seems to me to be implicit in all this research about Saturn, the petroglyphs and the stuttering transmission of myths down through time is that the gods we worship today are mislabeled interpretations of the actions of planets observed by people without the ability to describe them, leading to inchoate eons of religious confusion and deception.

The discoveries of the Thunderbolts Project therefore contain a hopeful path forward from the realization that our lives have always been ruled by electricity, but that in our fear and ignorance of things scientific, we have turned the world into a fearful abattoir, killing everything that lives as a way to immunize ourselves from our own deaths. It is as though we are still in the dark ages, trying to prove something that cannot be proven with false stories meant to convince ourselves we are immortal.

These discoveries of the Thunderbolts scientists are legitimately the spark the lights the future, foreshadowing a verifiable way to separate information that is legitimately valuable from what is pathological fluff, eliminating the misperceived and manipulated myths which, like a nuclear sun, no one has ever been able to prove.

What I set out to do prior to the Thunderbolts conference was to investigate if it was possible to evolve to a new human reality based on the knowledge that electricity forms the foundation upon which we can build an understanding to erase our silly doctrinal disputes and form a consensus perception that all life is connected, and it is therefore futile to fight each other over imaginary differences we have created in our minds based on events we have never fully comprehended. 

From what I now know, it clearly is possible, if not critically essential, to end this delusional behavior that now threatens all life on Earth, and finally recognize that our gods are the anthropomorphized misperceptions of awesomely frightening geophysical events.
